Catherine & Francis

Against the breathtaking backdrop of  Winton Castle in East Lothian, Catherine and Francis celebrated their love with a wedding that blended historic grandeur with modern romance. This 15th-century castle with its turreted towers, sweeping spiral staircases, and manicured gardens provided a storybook setting for their unforgettable day.

“Dominic didn’t just photograph our wedding, he captured the magic of Winton itself. Every time we look at our album, we’re transported back to that perfect day.”

— Catherine & Francis

The Winton Castle Experience

A Historic Setting

Winton Castle offers a series of distinct interior spaces alongside its surrounding grounds, allowing the day to move naturally between rooms and outdoors. Dom worked with the character of the building, photographing each part of the celebration in a way that reflected its scale and atmosphere.

From Interiors to Grounds

Photography moved between the castle’s interiors and the gardens beyond, adjusting as light and pace changed through the day. Wider frames captured the setting, while closer images focused on the interactions and moments unfolding within it.

Clear Coordination

Timings were planned to make use of different parts of the venue without rushing or interruption. Working closely with the venue and other suppliers allowed photography to fit naturally around the day’s schedule.

Whether planning a larger celebration within historic walls or a quieter gathering in the grounds, the approach remains the same: calm, considered photography that sits naturally around the day.
