Olivia & Will
Olivia and Will’s wedding celebrations took place across two points in time. The first followed the lifting of lockdown restrictions in 2021, with a ceremony at Edinburgh Castle. A later gathering brought friends and family together in Olivia’s home county of Northumberland for a blessing close to Hadrian’s Wall.
The blessing was held at a small, isolated church overlooking the North Tyne, believed to be the site where King Oswald raised a wooden cross before the Battle of Heavenfield in AD 635. Steeped in history and surrounded by open countryside, the setting shaped the tone of the day.
Clear conditions allowed candlelight and natural window light to define the atmosphere inside the church. A short walk led guests to a nearby marquee, where a legendary party continued into the evening.

The Setting
The blessing took place close to Hadrian’s Wall, with open land and long views across the surrounding countryside. The landscape shaped the day, giving the gathering a strong sense of space.
Working with Light
Inside the church, candlelight and natural window light shaped the atmosphere as people gathered for the blessing. Dom worked with those conditions as they shifted through the day, allowing the character of the space to come through without distraction.
A Quiet Presence
The day unfolded at its own pace. Dom worked discreetly throughout, staying close enough to follow what was happening while giving people room to move and interact naturally.
